Jacqueline Ann Frye, 87, of Ocean View, Delaware, formerly of Gap, Pennsylvania, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on July 1, 1938, in Ashland, Pennsylvania, Jackie was the daughter of the late Harold Scanlon and Mildred (Price) Scanlon. She was a graduate of Ashland High School.

Jackie devoted her career to serving others through healthcare. She worked as a purchasing agent at Brandywine Hospital & Trauma Center, a medical secretary at Paoli Hospital, and concluded her career as a coordinator of health benefits and patient advocate for the medical practice of Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Marino.

A woman of deep faith, Jackie faithfully followed the Jack Crans Ministry. She was a former Sunday School teacher at a Methodist church in Thorndale, Pennsylvania, and also served as a Cub Scout leader. After relocating to Delaware in 2003, she continued her spirit of service by volunteering with the Indian River School District concession stand and at VFW Post #7234 in Ocean View.

Jackie loved sports and was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia 76ers and the Philadelphia Eagles. Above all, she cherished her family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, John "Jack" C. Frye; her three children: John H. Frye and his wife, Barbara, of Ocean View, Delaware; Terry Powell and her husband, Robert, of Ocean View, Delaware; and Pamela Oleszewski and her husband, Joe, of Ocean View, Delaware. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Riki, Chris, Jaclyn, and Greg; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Kylie, Chase, and Penelope; a great-grandson expected in September 2026; numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored; and her faithful canine companion, Bandit.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38030 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, DE 19970. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 2320 Locust Gap Highway, Mount Carmel, PA 17851.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Jackie's memory to County Corrections Gospel Mission, P.O. Box 1136, Coatesville, PA 19320.

Jackie will be remembered for her unwavering faith, generous heart, dedication to serving others, and the enduring love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
