Hugh H. Hickman, Jr., age 60, of Ocean View, Delaware passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 at his home.

Hugh was born in Lewes, DE on March 21, 1964 son of the late Hugh H. Hickman and the late Geraldine Edna (Elliott) Hickman.  He was a graduate of Indian River High School and also graduated from Del Tech.

Hugh worked as a technician for Columbia Vending Services for several years. He was currently employed by Vendomatic of Salisbury.  Hugh had a thorough knowledge of the vending machine business and was a dedicated employee.  Many will remember Hugh from his days at the Bethany Exxon.

Hugh will fondly be remembered for his love of fishing and boating, playing video games and listening to music. Hugh also had a love for animals, particularly his cats.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Edna Gillum.  He is survived by two sisters, Dolores M. Lynch of Georgetown, DE and Paige H. Brady and her husband, Rick of Milton, DE; a special nephew, Tim Gillum of Selbyville, DE and several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Hugh was the best brother. He was kind and caring. We are missing him so much! Can't believe he's gone. Our thoughts will always be with you each and every day.

A visitation will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, where a funeral service will begin at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Mariner's Bethel Cemetery in Ocean View, DE.
