Harry James Cooper, age 82, of Harbeson, DE formerly of Bel Air, MD passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at his home.

Harry was born in Baltimore City, MD on November 16, 1941 son of the late Clarence E. Cooper and the late Evelyn Jeannette (Tracey) Cooper. He proudly served his country in the United States Army serving during the Korean War.

He retired as a Vice President of Sales from Guttman Oil Company at 81 years of age, in Bel Air, MD.  Harry loved all types of sports, was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing Senior Softball.  He was also very involved with the Athletic Club in Bel Air, MD.  Harry will be remembered as a very dedicated and hard worker.  While Harry had many titles in his life, his favorite was being called, "Pop".  He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his 3 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Cooper and a sister, Catherine Hirsch.  He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Molly (Bittner) Cooper; two sons, Brian Cooper and his wife, Shelia Bonn-Cooper of Stevensville, MD and Troy Cooper of Bel Air, MD and three grandchildren, Rachel Cooper of Washington, D.C., Tyler Cooper of Bel Air, MD and Megan Cooper of Baltimore, MD.

Services and burial are private.
