Gerald "Jerry" J. Weiss, Sr., age 89, of Lewes, DE formerly of NE Philadelphia, PA passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE.

Jerry was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 6, 1934 son of the late Harry Weiss and Helen (Meehan) Weiss.  He retired from United Engineers in Philadelphia, PA after 35 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sara I. (Marzin) Weiss and a grandson, Brendan.  Jerry is survived by six children, Sally Ann Tennyson and her husband, Walter, Gerald J. Weiss, Jr. and his wife, Maureen A. (Cutter) Weiss, Joanne Weiss, Mark T. Weiss and his wife, Sharon (Kuklinski) Weiss, Paul Weiss and his companion, Michele Snyder and Brian M. Weiss and his wife, Catherine (McSwaine) Weiss; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in the Parish Hall at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 407 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, where friends and family may gather after 10 AM.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE.
