Gena G. (Tietmeyer) Eggleston, age 58, of Georgetown, Delaware, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on April 23rd, 2023 after a grueling battle with cancer.

Gena was born on November 1st, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio to parents June & Francis Tietmeyer. She was a graduate of Indian River High School.

Gena was a tenacious, radiant woman who loved her family unconditionally. She was a fiercely dedicated mother to her two daughters, and a devoted wife to her husband of 27 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, who she loved dearly, as well as cooking, antiquing, painting and being outside by her pool.

Her family looked at her as a best friend, an inspiration and a warrior. She believed that life was meant to be lived as fully as possible, and despite her illness, that is exactly what she did. While her loss is profound, her spirit and memory will never fade.

Gena is preceded in death by both of her parents, June & Francis Tietmeyer. She is survived by her husband, John Eggleston, two daughters: Miranda Tietmeyer and Mallory Eggleston, two grandchildren (Miranda): Lia and Landyn, three siblings: Greg (Ellen) Tietmeyer, Gayle King and Genni (Shane) Phillips, nieces and nephews: Stephanie Tietmeyer, Gregory (Paige) Tietmeyer, Andrew Bunting, Dylan King and Elijah Bunting, Alexis Phillips, and her beloved dogs: Otto and Gibby.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Gena's name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
