Gail K Perry, our loving wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024 with the love of her life and her babies by her side.

Gail was born December 16, 1948 to Robert and Minnie Gleason, in Moline, Illinois, where she grew up with her two sisters and brother along with many family pets. She attended Lea College in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Just out of college, she met a handsome young Air Force Airman named Joe while they were both out with their best friends for some drinks at the local watering hole, The Better Spot, in Overland Park, Kansas, where Joe was stationed. After that night, they never looked back. Joe and Gail's story would continue on for an amazing 55 years, 54 of those years bonded by marriage.

Gail and Joe lovingly raised their family in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania - three children, two girls and a boy, and numerous dogs. Together, the couple enjoyed traveling all over the world, bringing a party wherever they went. Summers were filled with beach days on the canal or bopping around on their boat at their paradise by the bay, where they eventually retired in Long Neck, Delaware. Fall days were full of Gail's emphatic cheering of her team, the Kansas City Chiefs, of which she was arguably the biggest and most loyal fan around. Many winters were spent in Florida where the Jimmy Buffet and Jim Morris music was in abundance on boats, on warm beaches, and bustling tiki bars. Springtime was always full of celebrations for Mother's Day and their anniversary, May 23, along with anticipation for the next summer to come.

Gail and Joe created a life full of friends, parties, laughter, and fierce love.

Gail's smile was infectious and lit up the room. Her bright blue eyes were an envy of many. And her personality, charm, and sense of humor were undeniable. Gail was determined to live her life to the fullest til the end and left this world as she lived it - with a "party on the boat" alongside her loved ones. Gail was a shining light in this world, and we are all at a loss in her passing.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Minnie Cowley Gleason, her brother Ken Gleason, and sister Brenda Gleason Aylward. She is survived by her best friend and life partner, her husband Joe Perry; loyal companion, Hank the labrador; daughter Jennifer Ward (J.R.); daughter Julie Rightmyer (Ethan); son Greg Perry (Marc); grandchildren Connor Hudson, Jared Hudson, Olivia Hudson, Lily Siciliano, Caidyn Rightmyer, Jack Ward, and Izzie Ward; sister Cynthia Gleason Smethers (Rick); numerous nieces and nephews; along with a lifetime of best friends who will all miss her dearly.
