Wadene (Ferguson) Smith age 71 of Milsboro DE. Went home to the Lord on April 27th, surrounded by her loving husband and family.

She was born on May 16th, 1952, in Greenville, SC. In 1971 She married her best friend and the love of her life Robert J. Smith Sr.

Wadene loved life and she lived it her way to the fullest. She enjoyed long walks with husband, the beach, Family gatherings, and living in the moment.

Her greatest joy in life besides her husband Robert were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Wadene's family was everything to her.  She treated everyone she met like they were a member of the family. She loved to laugh and was quick to make others laugh even through the most difficult of times.

Wadene worked for B F Rich before moving to Milford DE.

She was proceeded in death by her parents James and Evelyn Ferguson.

Wadene is survived by her husband and best friend Robert J. Smith Sr, her children Robert J. Smith Jr (Kelly) and Christie Smith. Her grandchildren Justin, Kayla, Taylor, Jordan, and Christian, and her great grandchildren Sam, and Dean. Brothers James Ferguson (Judy) Butch Ferguson (Maria), and Steven Ferguson. Sisters Darlene, and Terry (Jose). Her beloved fur baby Jackson

Wadene was extremely close to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Family was her pride and joy and meant everything to her. She will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

A private viewing with immediate family only will be held at Melson Funeral Services in Frankford DE. Wednesday May 1st at 10:00AM
