Evelyn Irene Smith, age 96, of Lewes, DE passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

Evelyn was born in Endicott, NY on February 1, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Floyd W. Walker and the late Lillian (Brearley) Walker.  She and her husband, William Smith owned and operated Brick Barn Antiques in Harbeson, DE for sixteen years. She was a dedicated volunteer at hospitals and libraries throughout her adult life and was beloved by so many with whom her path crossed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Smith, son, Kerry Smith and siblings Douglas Walker and his wife Ruth, Patricia Walker. Evelyn is survived by her brother Brian Walker and wife Willie, devoted son, Kenneth Smith and his wife, Nora; daughter-in-law Deborah Smith, four grandchildren, Robert Smith, Amy Schuyler, and her husband, Jim, Jennifer Bullock and her husband, Tony, and Tara Greene and her husband Michael. She was also the proud great-grandmother of 7 great-grandchildren: Justin Smith, Rebecca Smith, Paige Smith, Jake Schuyler, Megan Schuyler, Avangeline Bullock and Rowan Bullock and a great-great granddaughter, Paula Brownwell.

A private service for her family will be held at Coolspring Presbyterian Cemetery.
