Elma (Kunsman) Gray, age 85, of Frankford, DE passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at TidalHealth Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, DE.

Elma was born in Lewes, DE on May 21, 1939 daughter of the late Granville F. Kunsman and the late Electa (Quillen) Gray and was a graduate of Rehoboth High School.

Elma was a school bus contractor for the Indian River School District until selling her buses in 2003 but continued to drive until 2008.  In addition to owing her own buses, Elma helped with the bookkeeping in the family business, Gray's Towing and Gray's Mobil Station in Frankford, DE.

She was a longtime member of the Frankford Community Church formerly called the Frankford United Methodist Church.  Elma was also a faithful volunteer at the Nearly New Thrift Shop in Frankford.  She was willing to help anyone in the surrounding area and served as a foster mom for several years.  In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and going camping.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Lewis Gray, Jr. in 2016.  She is survived by a son, David L. Gray and his wife, Donna of Hampshire, TN; a daughter, Dayna L. Aliberti of Georgetown, DE; two grandchildren, Megan Aliberti of Georgetown, DE and Dustin Aliberti of Ellendale, DE and her best friend and cousin, Linda Muncy and her husband Robert of Milford, DE.

Services and burial will be held privately at Carey's Cemetery in Frankford, DE
