Elizabeth Jane (Drummer) Wetzstein, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at home peacefully with her family on December 23, 2024, at the age of 82.

Born in Paterson, NJ, to William Henry Drummer and Elizabeth Mary Lummer, Elizabeth (lovingly nicknamed BJ) met the love of her life, Fredrick Paul Wetzstein, in 1956 while working as a keep punch operator and later as a bookkeeper at his auto garage, Fritz's Garage. The two were married in 1968 and shared a beautiful life together until Fredrick's passing in 1982. Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her family meant the world to her. She is survived by her son, Fredrick H. Wetzstein, daughter-in-law Stacey Wetzstein, and grandson, Jordan Mears.

In 1998, Elizabeth moved to Ocean View, Delaware, where she continued her career working for Tansey Warner & Tulip. She became a Millville volunteer fire company auxiliary member and had over 20 years.

Elizabeth had a passion for life and enjoyed many activities, from reading to spending time at the beach, to getting together with friends. She especially treasured family gatherings and going on cruises, with one of her bucket list items being a trip to Ireland with her best friend.

A service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 10am-12pm at Melson Funeral Home in Ocean View, Delaware.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Elizabeth's name to the Delaware SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947
