Betty Jean Mills, 92, of Ocean View, Delaware, passed away at her home on the morning of July 26, 2024.

Born in Montgomery County Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Edwards.

Betty was raised in Maryland and worked at Acme for over 30 years.   She also worked and supported The American Legion Post 268, but Betty considered her most important job to be raising her family, she is remembered as a dedicated mother, grandmother, Great grandmother and friend.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Mills Sr., son, David Wayne Mills, and her five brothers Pete, Leroy, Roger, Robert and Charles Edwards.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Marie Mills and her son Melvin Mills Jr.  of Delaware. Betty is a proud grandmother to Christopher Mills (Devon) and Nicholas Mills (Emily) and great grandmother to Ryleigh Mills.

Betty will be loved and missed by many.

A graveside services will be held at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery sometime in September.
