Elizabeth (Jane) Lyons, age 80, of Ocean View, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Saturday,

June 13, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born on December 24, 1945, in Philadelphia,

Pennsylvania. She was the beloved daughter of Francis and Florence Fox.

Jane is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Robert (Bob) Lyons. She is survived by their son

Rob (Sandy) of Severna Park, Maryland; their daughter Lisa (Joey) of Lebanon, Ohio; and their

daughter Terri and her fiancé, Steve King of Finksburg, Maryland. She is also survived by five

grandchildren, Tyler (Tim), Morgan (Klay), Zach, Austin (Emily) and Brittany; one great-

grandson Adley, as well as many friends and loved ones.

After graduating from Wilmington High School in 1963, Jane began working at the Delaware

State Hospital in New Castle, Delaware as a clerk in the pharmacy. While employed at the

Delaware State Hospital, Jane met the love of her life, Bob Lyons, whom was also working at

Delaware State Hospital as a purchasing agent. Jane, a young woman from the city of

Wilmington and Bob, a young man from small town Greenwood, were married on January 30,

1965. After the birth of their first child, Jane became a homemaker and cared for their children.

In 1979, Jane was an administrative assistant at BASF and Dayco in Tucker, Georgia. In 1983,

Jane and Bob purchased George P. Thomas Rubber Company in Baltimore, Maryland, now

known as Tipco Technologies. Jane was responsible for finance, human resources, and the daily

operations of the company. Together, Jane and Bob created a successful business that continues

to thrive today. Both she and Bob retired from Tipco Technologies in 2001 and transitioned the

business to their children, Rob and Terri.

Jane spent her years of retirement playing golf, Mahjong, Bridge, and participating in her Book

Club. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, traveling the world, and soaking up

the Florida sun during the winter season. She will be remembered for her laugh, energy,

generosity, and love of dancing. She loved her Chocolate Ice Cream as well!

A Memorial Service will be held on June 24, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Martha’s Episcopal Church, Bethany Beach, Delaware followed by a Celebration of Life at Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club, Ocean View, Delaware. Attire will be Country Club Casual.
