Edward A. Simmons, 83 of Ocean View, DE passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025.

Edward was the beloved son of the late Edward A. and Leona V. (Sauk) Simmons born in Delaware County, PA he proudly served in the United States Coast Guard, a commitment that spoke to his strong sense of duty and love for his country.

After his service, he became a skilled Electrician, known for his hard work and dedication to his skill.

Edward lived life to the fullest and had a deep appreciation for the simple joys.  He enjoyed the warmth of Florida's winters, where he relished the sun and ocean breeze.  In the summer, he called Long Beach Island, NJ his home.  Edward had a great passion for the outdoors and enjoyed riding his bike, spending time on the water, whether it was boating, fishing or crabbing.  He was known for his love of music, dancing and karaoke.

A devoted father and proud grandfather, he cherished every moment spent with his daughters and grandsons.  His family was the center of his world, and his love for them knew no bounds.  Whether riding roller coasters with his daughters or simply enjoying quiet moments together, Edward's warmth and sense of adventure will be missed deeply.  His spirit of adventure and zest for life will live on in the many fond memories he leaves behind.

Edward is survived by his loving daughters Debbie (Ed) McGee and Denise (Mark) Hopkins, as well as his cherished grandsons, Alex Gillespie and Austin McGee, and Edward's sisters Marie Werkheiser and Theresa Imburgia and his brother Tony Simmons and nieces and nephews.
