Edward D. Carlson

Son of the late David and Helyn (Kalinowski) Carlson passed away on February 28, 2025. Ed was born in the Philadelphia, PA area on April 12, 1937. He spent many years working in the HVAC industry in Pennsylvania before retiring in 2000 from Petro Heating & Oil Company and moving to Millsboro DE in 2002.  During his retirement years, Ed kept busy traveling, boating and being active in his community, including volunteering at the Sussex Correctional Institution and mentoring for the Indian River School District. Ed was an active member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church. He was predeceased by his son Edward Carlson and siblings Karen Carlson, Maryann Owezarzak and David Carlson. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Patricia Martini Carlson of Millsboro, DE; his siblings Helen Glavey of Los Angeles, CA and Carl Carlson of Bensalem, PA; sons Robert (Su) Carlson of Snohomish, WA, James Carlson of Bensalem, PA, and John (Marie) Carlson of Yardley, PA; daughters Patricia Pone of Levittown, PA, Carol (Ralph) Faunce of Levittown, PA, and Mary (Steve) Sheats of Bensalem, PA; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Services will be held on March 19, 2025 with a Visitation beginning at 12:00 pm at Mary Mother of Peace Church, 30839 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966 followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm.  Burial will be private.
