Dorothy Ann "Dot" Murray, age 90, of Frankford, DE went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2024 while in the comfort of her own home.

Dot was born in Milford, DE on September 21, 1933 daughter of the late Russell W. Hudson and the late Dorothy M. Hudson.  She retired as a secretary with the Indian River School District in 1991 after 35 years of service.

Dot was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Purple Martin Society.  In her younger years, she liked fishing and camping on Ocracoke Island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Dot was also an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching Sunday services via livestream from Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown, DE.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Richard H. Murray; a son, Ricky Murray and a brother, George E. Hudson.  Dot is survived by her son, Keith E. Murray and his wife, Darnell of Frankford, DE; granddaughter, Jennifer Peterson and her husband, David of Seaford, DE; great granddaughter, Katie Coulbourn and her significant other, Seth Trice of Frankford, DE and four great great grandchildren, Melanie, Tommy, Albrie and Peyton Coulbourn whom she absolutely adored.  Dot is also survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Hudson of Frankford, DE and two nephews, Russell A. Hudson and his wife, Sherry of Frankford, DE and Jerry Moore and his wife, Tina of Frankford, DE.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, DE 19945, where friends and family may gather after 2 PM.  Interment will follow at St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Dot's name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
