Donna Marie Callan Lichtenberg, 89, of Clarksville, DE, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, at home. Born on August 21, 1937, in Altoona, PA, to Xavier and Priscilla (Gardini) Callan, Donna was a resident of Baltimore, MD before moving to Clarksville, DE in 1994 with her beloved husband Linwood Lichtenberg.
Donna spent 28 years working as an assistant and worked her way up to Manager of the Maintenance Agreement Department for Sears & Roebuck Company on 41st Street in Baltimore. She loved bowling, reading, country line dancing, playing games and doing puzzles. She was dedicated to her job, a steady woman of deep integrity, respect and routine who loved her family above all else.
Donna is survived by her children, Michael (Deborah) Lichtenberg of Lakeland, FL, and Patrick (Carla) Lichtenberg of Clarksville, DE, and Randall (Terrie) Lichtenberg of Middle River, MD, and Anna (Michael) Chenoweth of Clarksville, DE and Brenda (Carl) Bull of Clarksville, DE. Her cherished grandchildren, Kevin, Jennifer, Jessica, Zachary, Anthony, Abbey, Emily, Todd, Michael, Melissa, Matthew, Jeremiah, Andrew and Aubrey. Her cherished great grandchildren, William, Ziera, Delbert, Anthony, Alex, Aiyana, Max, Valentina, Kendall, Colin, Makenzie, Margaret, Ameila and Riley. She is also survived by her beloved Aunt Inez Keyes and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Xavier and Priscilla Callan, her sister, Patricia Hughes and brother-in-law John Hughes, as well as her beloved husband Linwood Lichtenberg.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, with a mass on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE 19930. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Patriots Way, in Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Donna’s memory to the American Lung Association.
She is safely home and thankful for all who loved her.
