Donald C. Suter Sr., age 90, of Frankford, formerly of Columbia, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford following injuries sustained in an accident.

Don was born in Lancaster on September 18, 1935, son of the late Franklin M. Suter and the late Miriam (Charles) Suter. A hardworking and dependable man throughout his life, Don worked as a foreman and superintendent for several cemeteries before retiring from Gate of Heaven Cemetery. He took great pride in his work and in the many friendships he made along the way.

Don found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman who loved being near the water, enjoyed riding his scooter around town, and could often be found outdoors enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. He especially treasured the time spent with his family, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. Don will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, sense of humor, and the love he had for those closest to him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye, in 1998, and his second wife, Gilberta, in 2012.

Don is survived by his five children: Cynthia Funbar; Bradley Suter; Donald Suter, Jr. and his wife, Angela; Jody Kurtz and her husband, Rubin; and Lori Grove and her companion, Charles Russel. He is also survived by his sister, Irene Horn and her husband, Bill; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Services will be held privately at Conestoga Methodist Cemetery in Conestoga.
