Donald J. Riegner, Sr., 84, Dagsboro, DE, died May 10, 2025, at Beebe HealthCare, Lewes, DE, from late effects of cerebrovascular disease.  Born at home in Douglassville, he was the son of the late William W. Riegner, Sr., and Anna May (Eichert) Riegner.  He was predeceased in death by his wife Bettylou (Massey) Riegner.

Donald was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army, 1958-1961.  He was self-employed as a truck driver for many years.  He was a Life Member of VFW 411, Birdsboro, and Post Sr. Vice Commander 1985-86 PA.  He was a member of the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Birdsboro.

Surviving Donald are his children: Donna Ware, wife of Henry, Shinglehouse, PA; Debra Mundell, Laureldale, PA; Donald J. Riegner, Jr., husband of Sue, Douglassville, PA;  Diane Fenner, wife of Mike, Canal Point, FL; and David Riegner, husband of Tina, Birdsboro, PA; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; his 4 sisters: Majorie A. Bower, Douglassville, PA; Mary J. Ferguson, Greensburg, PA; Ann Bleicher, Stuart, FL; and Cathy R. Tarpley, Dagsboro, DE.

He was predeceased by Robert E., Charles T., Frank H., John I., and William W., Jr.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 5 Brooke Manor, Birdsboro, PA, at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
