Dolores Goode Fitzgerald, age 94, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023.  She rejoins her husband, Francis, who died in 2015, and is in God's loving arms.

She was born in Washington, D.C. on August 13, 1929, to Joseph Lee Goode and Sarah Mills Goode.  While attending Eastern High School in N.E. Washington, she met her sweetheart, Francis.  After they graduated, they married at St. Peter's Church on August 14, 1948.  After raising their children, they retired to South Bethany, Delaware where the family spent many vacations over the years.  She quickly got involved in many community groups, women's clubs, St. Ann's Catholic Church and spent 30+ years singing in the church choir.  They eventually moved a few miles away to Lord Baltimore Landing in Ocean View, DE.  There she quickly made many friends and was active in the community.

Dolores leaves behind her adoring family of 3 children, Carol Fitzgerald Fields (Jerry), Richard Fitzgerald (Mary), Craig Fitzgerald (Paula), 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 35318 Church Road, Frankford, DE 19945, where friends and family may gather after 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 32113 Vines Creek Road, Dagsboro, DE 19939.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the choir at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE 19930.
