Dolly Mae Moore of Frankford, Delaware, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024 at the age of 90.

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Edith (Carey) Whaley and two sisters Betty Toomey and Marie Hammond.

Dolly is survived by her two sons, Aaron L. Bunting and Robert A. Bunting (fiancé Brenda L. Richards) two grandchildren Andrew E. Bunting and Elijah W. Bunting and one great granddaughter, Summer Lynn Bunting.

Mother loved to love.  She beamed with happiness whenever she spoke of her two boys.  Dolly was everything to them, a mother, a father, a teacher and friend.

Her kindness and love will never be forgotten.

Mother loved to cook and was wonderful at it.  She was the queen of cakes, highly known for her zucchini cake.  We have so many wonderful memories of family dinners and friends gathering over.  When Dolly was not in the kitchen she loved to be around family, listening in and telling stories of her past.  Mother never met a stranger and always enjoyed meeting new people.

Dolly is a huge loss not only to us but to the community as well.

A Funeral service will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 at 2 PM at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, where friends and family may call after 1 PM.  Interment will follow at Dagsboro Redmen Cemetery in Dagsboro, DE 19939.
