Della Marie Wanda, age 99 of Milton, DE passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

She was born on March 23, 1925 in Baltimore, MD to William Meise and Mary Teresa Maenner.

Della was married to John Wanda until his passing in 2004. She retired from Westinghouse. She loved camping and in 1972 began staying at Port Delmarva in Rehoboth Beach, DE where she was in charge of cooking and activities. She also wintered in Melbourne, FL for several years.

Della also enjoyed cooking and preparing food for family gatherings. She also had creative hobbies including crocheting and needlepoint crafts.

Along with her husband, Della was preceded in death by her son, John Wanda, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Carolyn Marie Kline and Charlene Itzel; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Baltimore, MD, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD, 21075.
