Obituary

Debra A. Daisey, age 67, of Roxana, Delaware, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home.

Affectionately known as Debbie or Dee, she was born in Lewes, Delaware, on September 30, 1959, to the late Carl J. Taylor and the late Aline M. (Jones) Taylor. She was a proud graduate of Indian River High School, Class of 1977.

Throughout her working career, Debbie held several positions, including working in sales for the Delaware Coast Press at Gannett Newspapers and later as a patient service representative at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where she worked until 2020. Along the way, she also pursued her love of baking, creating beautiful cakes and delicious baked goods through her side business, Cakes by Dee. After leaving the hospital, she devoted even more time to her baking business, which became the work she loved most. Through her talent, creativity, and the care she put into everything she made, Debbie brought sweetness and joy to so many.

Debbie had a love for adventure and enjoyed riding her Harley-Davidson. She and her family made many wonderful memories traveling to motorcycle shows in Ocean City and Myrtle Beach. Whether she was out enjoying the open road, sharing her culinary creations, spending time with her beloved cats, or simply being surrounded by the people she loved, Debbie found happiness in the things that made life special. Her love of family, her generous spirit, and her many talents will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Debbie leaves behind her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas L. Daisey; her sister, Connie Taylor Cooper (Tom); her brother, Butch Taylor (Sherry); her brother-in-law, Alan Daisey (Debbie); her sister-in-law, Carolyn Tosti; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher Street, Frankford, DE 19945. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Debbie’s name to Cats Around Town Society, Inc., PO Box 541, Ocean View, DE 19970 or the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
