Debra "Debbie" M. Baker, age 73, of Dagsboro, DE went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 10, 2025 while surrounded by her loving family at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, MD.

Debbie was born in Salisbury, MD on April 6, 1951 daughter of the late Alton S. Ennis and the late Beatrice E. (Jones) Ennis.  She had worked for several years for Edgehill and Rite Aid Pharmacy in Millsboro, DE, before working in the early childcare field at Cozy Critters Child Care in Frankford, DE.  As she had a love for children, she thoroughly enjoyed her 20 years at the daycare center.

Debbie served her community as being a longtime member of the Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary.  She enjoyed following dirt car and stock car racing and was a phenomenal cook that loved to prepare meals for her family.  Debbie's devotion and love of her family was the most important thing in her life.  She followed all of her granddaughter's extracurricular activities from softball to field hockey to cheer competitions. Debbie was a constant support in each of her children and grandchildren's lives and was willing to anything for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dickie" Baker, Sr.; two grandchildren, Joseph and Annie Adkins; a brother, Bill Ennis and a sister, Kathy Wilkins.  She is survived by her two children, Rich Baker of Millsboro, DE and Katie Adkins and her husband, Jody of Dagsboro, DE; four granddaughters, Ellie Baker, McKenna Baker, Abigail Adkins and Allison Adkins; a brother, Steve Ennis and his wife, Connie of Laurel, DE and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, DE 19945, where friends and family may gather after 12 noon. Interment will follow at Carey's Cemetery in Frankford, DE.
