David F. Moore, age 75, of Lewes, DE passed away at his home on Monday, October 9, 2023, after a short fight with cancer. He was born in Wilmington, DE on January 20, 1948 to Agnes and Frank P. Moore. Dave enlisted in the US Navy and served on the U.S.S. Hancock during the Vietnam War. He then became a union cabinetmaker working in Delaware and New Jersey, before retiring to Lewes, DE in 2016.

Loved beyond words, Dave will be missed by all that knew him. His passion and enthusiasm for a Sunday afternoon game or race will be treasured. Active in both the American Legion and Moose Lodge, Dave also enjoyed cruising with his wife, Laura. In his retirement, Dave loved to relax on his porch and visit with friends, family, and his dog, Nellie.

Dave is survived by his children David Moore Jr (Catherine), Brian Moore, and Nancy Redden (JD); and his grandchildren, Lyric Detwiler, Bethany Watkins, Colin Moore, and Jackson Moore; and his sister Gina O'Connor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Agnes, and his wife of 37 years, Laura.

A memorial service will be held privately for immediate family.
