Clifton "Speedy" E. Holland, III, age 74, of Frankford, DE passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 8, 2023 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, MD.

Speedy was born in Lewes, DE on July 19, 1949 son of the late Clifton E. Holland, Jr. and the late Pearl (Baker) Holland.  He graduated from John M. Clayton High School and was a member of the VFW.  Speedy proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 25th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War and worked as a mason for the majority of his life.

Speedy enjoyed clamming, fishing and feeding his hummingbirds.  He also enjoyed sitting by his fish pond listening to Blue Grass music but above all else, Speedy loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Dorothy Lavinia Holland; two sons, Hunter Holland and David Holland; two granddaughters, Hanna Pearl Holland and Harper Layton Holland and three sisters, Sue Ellen Bonaventure (Dan), Barbara Jo Hudson (Perry) and Sandra Swafford (late husband, Harold).  Sister-in-law's Donna McCabe (Joe) Diana Magath (John).  Brother-in-law's Gerald Dorman (Donna) and Greg Dorman (Bonnie) and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Speedy's life will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 2-4PM at Hunter's home on Blueberry Lane, Frankford, De.
