Charles J. Hall, 75, of Selbyville, Delaware, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Delmar Nursing Home.

Charlie was born in Salisbury, Maryland, on July 18, 1951, the son of the late Cashar Edward Hall and the late Bernice “Peach” (Oliphant) Hall. A lifelong resident of the Selbyville area, he was a proud graduate of Selbyville High School, Class of 1969. He went on to further his education at Delaware Technical Community College, earning an associate degree.

Charlie was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family. He devoted more than 40 years to the concrete construction industry with Harkins Concrete Construction, where his dedication and knowledge made him a valued member of the company. Even after many years of service, Charlie continued to share his experience by consulting with the business.

He was a member of Selbyville Elks Lodge #2173 and a Mason with Doric Lodge #30 A.F. & A.M. in Millville, Delaware.

An outdoorsman at heart, Charlie found some of his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved hunting, particularly bird hunting, and later discovered a deep passion for fishing. There was perhaps no place he would rather be than out on the water, fishing pole in hand, enjoying the peace and beauty of the outdoors. He also loved traveling and gathering with his large and beloved family.

But more than anything, Charlie treasured his family. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, and he took great pride in cheering them on from the sidelines and following them to their many sporting events. His presence, encouragement, and unwavering support were gifts they will carry with them throughout their lives.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deborah Lee Hall.

He leaves behind his two sons, Heath Hall and his wife, Angela, and Chad Hall and his wife, Amy; five grandchildren, Gage, Chase, Kaylee, Kinsley, and Eric and his wife, Angeleen; and two great-grandchildren, Ben and Julia. He is also survived by his brother, Clay Hall and his wife, Debbie; his sister, Cathy Burton; and several nieces and nephews.

Charlie will be remembered as a hardworking and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with family gatherings, adventures, time spent outdoors, and countless moments shared with the people he loved most. Though he will be deeply missed, his love and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family and friends for generations to come.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Carey’s Cemetery in Frankford, Delaware 19945.
