Catherine M. Adkins, age 32, of Mardela Springs, MD formerly of Dagsboro, DE passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Inova Fairfax Medical Center in Fairfax, VA.

Affectionately known as "Catt" or "Cate" was born in Lewes, DE on March 23, 1993 daughter of Allen Figgs and Colleen (Collins) Murphy.  She was a graduate of Indian River High School Class of 2011 and also received her Associates Degree in Graphic Design from the Antonelli Institute in Erdenheim, PA.

Catt was born and raised in Dagsboro, DE where she enjoyed playing field hockey, soccer and softball.  She also did some cheerleading and was heavily involved in the JROTC program in high school.  Catt was always ready to do a selfie with her beautiful quick smile.  She was one not to show her emotions, but her facial expressions always showed what she was thinking.

Catt will be remembered for her love of family, her rescue dogs and friends.  She loved listening to music, dancing and reading books.  Her legacy will live on with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Collins, paternal grandparents, Earl E. Figgs and Helen Cousins-Figgs and two aunts, Bambi Nilan and Brenda Showalter.  Catt is survived by her loving husband of 4 ½ years, Stanley S. Adkins of Mardela Springs, MD; her mother, Colleen (Collins) Murphy of Dagsboro, DE; her father, Allen Figgs and his companion, Denise Shupe of Laurel, DE; sister, Sarah Murphy of Millsboro, DE; maternal grandmother, Doris Collins of Dagsboro, DE; father and mother-in-law, Gene and Linda Adkins of Salisbury, MD; grandfather-in-law, Sonny Adkins of Marion Station, MD and uncle, Dave Showalter of Dagsboro, DE.  Catt is also survived by three nieces, Mykayla Howard, Kylee Howard and Madelyn Howard all of Millsboro, DE and two nephews, Luke Paris-Murphy of Millsboro, DE and Zach Figgs of Salisbury, MD; her canine companions and numerous cousins.

A private memorial service and burial will be held for the family.
