Carolyn L. Robinson, age 89, of Dagsboro, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 3, 2026, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loving family.

Carolyn was born in Wolfeboro, NH, on June 14, 1937, the daughter of the late Russell Ray Hooper and the late Florence "Mickey" (Hudson) Hooper. She attended John M. Clayton High School in Frankford, DE.

Carolyn worked as a clerk for the IGA in Frankford for 17 years before working for K's Florist in Selbyville, DE, for another six years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Frankford Community Church in Frankford, DE. She was a phenomenal cook, loved gardening, cutting her grass, and attending and supporting all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren's sporting events.

Carolyn's greatest joy in life was her family. Her kindness, unwavering love, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know and love her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever be cherished, and her love will remain a guiding light for generations to come.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robinson, and a grandson, John Brittingham.

Carolyn is survived by her four sons: Eddie Dorey and his companion, Terry Atkins, of Millsboro, DE; Michael Dorey of Dagsboro, DE; Brett Dorey and his wife, Joanne, of Dagsboro, DE; and Casey Robinson of Dagsboro, DE. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Chad Dorey, Cameo Hoban, Hunter Dorey, Ashley McGinnes, and Brittany Robinson; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leroy Hooper and his wife, Nancy, of Bishopville, MD; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, DE 19945, where a funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Carey's Cemetery in Frankford, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Carolyn's name to Frankford Community Church, P.O. Box 37, Frankford, DE 19945.
