Carol L. Melchior (nee Elliott)

Carol L. Melchior, 82 years old, from Dagsboro, Delaware passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family.

Carol was born in Wilmington, Delaware on September 2, 1942. In 1960, she graduated from William Penn High School. After high school, she attended Goldey Beacom College and graduated in1962 with an associate's degree. She worked for a local school district and retired in 2004.

Carol was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Fred W. Melchior Jr., her daughter, Cindy Mitchell and her husband Ryan Mitchell, her two grandchildren Jonathan and Julia Mitchell. In addition, Carol is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Carol is predeceased by her five brothers; Vincent T. Elliott Jr., Robert L. Elliott, Donald B. Elliott, Lawrence S. Elliott, and Raymond A. Elliott; her parents Vincent T. Elliott Sr. and Marguerite S. Elliott.

Funeral services will be held privately at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Delaware. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Delaware Hospice.
