Carol Ann Martin, age 65, of Millsboro, DE, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Carol leaves behind her husband, Peter Martin, three children, Heather Trotman, Katie Martin, and Christopher Martin, seven grandchildren, sister Tracy Griffin, and two dogs, Holly and Baby.

In addition to her parents, Carol is also pre-deceased by her sister, Donna Mangan.

She was born in Baltimore, MD, on June 29, 1958 to Thomas and Beverly Mangan, and was the oldest of three children. She and her best friend Betty Kay Kim participated in the Toppers Majorette Corp growing up.

Carol lived in Elkridge, MD with her husband and oldest daughter, and eventually moved to Eldersburg, MD, with her husband and two youngest children. She loved going country-western dancing with her husband. The pair also spent many weekends playing long days of outdoor doubles volleyball, and Sunday nights at The Volleyball House in Elkridge.

She loved watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports, and was especially proud to have the title "Soccer Mom". She also enjoyed raising dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, and ducks, among other animals, with her family. She was an avid Ravens fan and enjoyed watching football games on Sundays.

For many years, Carol worked in the insurance industry as a computer programmer before becoming a project manager. She was hard-working and very well-organized.

She eventually retired to Millsboro, DE in 2017, where she looked forward to frequent visits from her children and grandchildren. She became a member of the Lighthouse Church in Lewes and spent time collecting donations and cooking food for the Shepherd's Office in Georgetown.

Memorial service will be held at the Lighthouse Church located at 21265 John J Williams Hwy, Lewes, DE, on Thursday November 2, 2023, at 12pm.
