Bruce Peterson of Millsboro, DE passed away suddenly on Thursday 10/26/23. He was born in Laramie, WY to Harold LeRoy Peterson and Bernice Adelia (Johnson) Peterson.

He is survived by his brothers Aksel Peterson (Rebecca), Roland Peterson (Kathleen), Owen Peterson, and brother-in-law Bill Penny, sister-in-law Lani Peterson, and sister-in-law Mary Peterson.  He is survived by his beloved partner of 20+ years Diane Dempsey.  He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carolyn, brother LeRoy and brother Dennis.

Bruce graduated from Laramie High School, in Wyoming.  He then earned a PhD in physics and a master's degree in computer science at the University of Wyoming.

At the time of his retirement, he was employed under contract with NSA. Over the years he also lectured and taught calculus-based physics.

Bruce was an avid reader and was very educated in the laws of physics, geology, astronomy, classical music and literature.

Bruce will be cremated at Melson Funeral Home and his ashes will be laid to rest in Laramie, WY.
