Bruce Lee Baker, age 40, of Harrington, DE passed away unexpectedly while at work on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in Temperanceville, VA.

Bruce was born in Seaford, DE on February 28, 1984 son of George Steven Baker and Katherine Marie (Bennett) Baker.  He was a graduate of Woodbridge Class of 2003.  Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 2003 to 2011 serving two tours of duty in Iraq.

He had previously worked at Dagsboro Paint & Wallpaper, Atlantic Aluminum Products, and was currently employed with Tecta America East, LLC in Fruitland, MD.  He also owned and operated his own business, Semper Fi Services.

Bruce also was a professional mixed martial artist and participated in the first ProShow in Delaware.  He will be remembered for his big heart for the youth, was very giving and was an amazing father.  He loved spending time with his daughter, Evelynne where they enjoyed doing archery, playing Mortal Kombat and sharing inside jokes.  He was also an animal lover and was devoted to his three dogs, Pixie, Chesty and Champ.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Katherine Marie Baker.  He is survived by his daughter, Evelynne Baker of Smyrna, DE; his father, George Steven Baker of Bridgeville, DE; a brother, Steven Baker of Bridgeville, DE; the mother of his daughter, Amanda Kulhanek of Smyrna, DE and several aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, DE 19945, where friends and family may call after 11 AM.  Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
