Betty Jane Rogers, age 86, of Frankford, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE.

Betty was born in Roxana, DE on October 9, 1936 daughter of the late Frank Harper and the late Elizabeth (Mitchell) Harper.  She was a graduate of Selbyville High School.

Betty worked for several years as a cashier at Acme in Millsboro, DE prior to her retirement.  She loved to travel, listen to bluegrass music, going out to eat and more importantly spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Lewis Bunting in 1978 and Charles Rogers in 1997; a grandson, Richard Bunting, Jr.; a granddaughter, Angel Brittingham; a sister, Hazel Ragni and her partner, Jack Gray.  Betty is survived by her three children, Richard Bunting and his wife, Kenzel of Frankford, DE, Ronald Bunting of Chambersburg, PA and Denice Powell and her husband, Bruce of Georgetown, DE.  She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, RJ Bunting of Texas, Ashley Laris of Georgia, Matthew Bunting of Chambersburg, PA, Bethany Hanft of Williamsport, MD, Nicholas Bunting of Chambersburg, PA, Luke Bunting of New Market, MD, Anna Krampetz of Chambersburg, PA and Emilee Fellenbaum of Georgetown, DE; 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, DE 19945, where friends and family may visit after 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Dagsboro Redmen Cemetery, Dagsboro, DE.
