Bernard Aller passed away at his home in Millsboro, DE on April 12, 2024, at the age of 75.

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 24, 1948, to Mary and Sam Aller. After graduating from the University of Miami, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served as a helicopter pilot with a tour in Vietnam. He continued to serve in the Naval Reserves, achieving the rank of Commander.

Bernie married Barbara (Haddad) in 1971, and they welcomed twin daughters in 1972. After Barbara's passing in 2018, Bernie met his wife, Phyllis Kushner, whom he married in 2021. Together they built a house in Millsboro and embarked on what they had hoped would be, in their twilight years, a "grand adventure." Phyllis brought immense happiness to his life and lovingly supported him throughout his illness.

After his time in the Navy, he worked for several large corporations and later formed his own consulting firm, helping businesses in the selection of human resource systems.

Bernie loved to travel and visited many countries during his time in the Navy and beyond. He loved photography and classical music and was a loyal fan of the Baltimore Orioles.

Bernie is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his brother, Howard Aller; his daughters, Beth Jakubiak and Debby Vargas; their husbands, Christopher Jakubiak and Victor Vargas; and his beloved granddaughters, Natalie and Anna Jakubiak. Bernie was a friend and mentor to many and will be greatly missed.
