Barry W. Henry (74) of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Princeton, NJ, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous 4-month battle with AML Leukemia.

He was born in Bryn Mawr, PA, to the late Otis and Mary Henry. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA from UNC Chapel Hill. Barry had a successful career in corporate investment banking before retiring in 2016 and relocating to The Peninsula in Millsboro, DE.

His faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him through all of life's joys and challenges. His trust in the Lord never wavered, even at the very end.

Barry enjoyed traveling to many places around the world, as well as spending time at the beach and playing golf. He loved watching his favorite sports teams and sharing the highlights with his son, Dave. Above all, though, his family and grandchildren were the greatest joy in his life. Every moment spent with them—no matter how chaotic—was a moment that brought him pure joy.

Barry is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; his son, David Henry (wife Kelly) and their children, Ryder (6) and Katie (3); his stepson, Mike Slagter; stepdaughter, Kelly Cortland (husband Jeff); and their children, Jace (4), Julian, and Jaxson (twins, 2). He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Legallais (husband Eric), and their children, Jen Brown (husband Keith) and Eric James Legallais (wife Michelle).

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 27, at Melson's Funeral Home, 32013 Long Neck Rd, Millsboro, DE. Visiting will begin at 1 p.m., and the Celebration of Life will start at 2 p.m.
