Ashley E. Yarborough, age 40, of Newark, Delaware, formerly of Georgetown, Delaware, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Ashley was born in Milford, Delaware, on April 4, 1985, daughter of John P. Schutt and Bridgit A. (Savini) Schutt. She was a 2003 graduate of Sussex Central High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware in 2008.

Ashley built a distinguished career and was currently serving as Vice President of Global Financial Crimes Compliance Detect/Report Lead at JP Morgan Chase Bank. She was dedicated to excellence in her profession and earned the respect of colleagues and peers alike.

Beyond her career, Ashley had a generous and compassionate spirit. She loved serving her community through charitable organizations, volunteering her time whenever possible. As her personal life grew busier, she continued to support those causes close to her heart through financial contributions.

Ashley enjoyed cooking, listening to music, traveling, gardening, and the beach.  Above all else, she cherished being a mother to her beautiful daughter, Ellie. Being "Mom" was her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. Her love, warmth, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, John and Bridgit Schutt, she is survived by her loving husband of eight years, James R. Yarborough; her daughter, Ellie Yarborough; her paternal grandmother, Dawn Schutt; her brother, Bradley Schutt and his wife, Tiffany; as well as her nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be held from 2:00–4:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE 19966, where a Celebration of Ashley's Life will begin at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.

Ashley's memory will continue to live on in the many lives she touched, and her legacy of love, strength, and generosity will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Ashley's name to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition .
