Andrew "Andy" Tallas, Jr.

Andrew "Andy" Tallas, Jr., born May 28, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away surrounded by loved ones. He was the son of the late Andrew and Rose (Hyduk) Tallas.

Andy built a life defined by dedication, service, and quiet strength. He worked as an engineer for many years and later served as a security guard for the Philadelphia Eagles, a role he took great pride in. Earlier in life, he honorably served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam era. His commitment to fellow veterans continued throughout his life as a proud member of American Legion Post #28.

Andy is survived by his loving wife, Paula M. (Kovitch) Tallas, and their three children: Paula Tallas Hayes and her husband Thomas; Thomas Elwood Tallas and his wife Regina; and Andrew J. Tallas III. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren and six great‑grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sandra Tallas. A Service with military honors will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, De 19966.

Andy will be remembered for his loyalty, his work ethic, and the deep love he held for his family and country.
