Allen Robert Ellison, age 87, of Millsboro, Delaware, formerly of Bristol, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 4, 1939, Allen was the son of the late Ben Ellison and Margaret Olga (Thompson) Ellison. He was a graduate of Frankford High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1962 as an electronics technician specialist. During his service, he was stationed aboard the USS Forrestal aircraft carrier.

Allen dedicated over 35 years of his career as a garage door technician with Set/Rite before retiring. In his youth, he was a Boy Scout and later gave back as a Scoutmaster for two troops. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed sailing, having owned a sailboat for several years. He also loved camping, riding his motorcycle, playing on his computer, and following the stock market.

He will be fondly remembered for his love of Disney, especially his collection of Donald Duck memorabilia.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Scholl, and his great-granddaughter, Katalina Rose Kayros.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Patricia Ann (McPeak) Ellison; his daughter, Robin McNeill of Feasterville, Pennsylvania; as well as seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be held privately.
