Aline (Nengel) Robinson "Ann" passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at her daughter's residence in Millville, DE, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.

Ann was born March 13, 1944 in Baltimore, MD., the oldest daughter of Stewart L. Nengel and Aline (Fletcher) Nengel.  She spent most of her early years in Sharptown, MD until she moved to Millville, DE where she met and later married her high school sweetheart and husband of 61 years, Donny Robinson.

After graduating from Lord Baltimore High School, Ann attended Wesley College and then University of Delaware where she earned her Bachelors and later on her Masters Degree. Ann went on to earn her Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Before retiring in 2005, Ann was an elementary teacher, school counselor, an addictions counselor and continued her volunteer work with the Christian Hope Network which spanned 25 years.

Ann will be remembered as a loving, kind and compassionate women who had the best smile.  Her greatest role was that of wife, mother, nanny and friend.  Ann loved to travel, cook and spend time with her family and friends.  She loved to laugh and recall funny stories and vacation memories with family.  To spend time with her was a gift.  To sit with her was to be heard, cared for and known.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher D. Robinson; a niece, Laura L. Madara; a brother-in-law, Manaen S. Robinson, III and sister-in-law, Cynthia T. Robinson, all whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Donny Robinson and their two children, Denise R. Bartow and her husband, Todd of Millville, DE and Dean L. Robinson and his wife, Maria of Anchorage, AK; 8 grandchildren, Christy, Christopher (Stephanie), Toni (Kevin), Cheryle (Jim), Andrew (Barbara), Gianna (Aaron), Marshal, and Rachel and 11 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Charlene Havens; sister-in-law, Diane Madara and her husband, Ken and her sister-in-law, Donna Robinson and numerous family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City specifically Dr. Afsheen Iqbal and her team, who treated Ann over the last 6 years and TidalHealth Oncology in Berlin, MD over the last few months.

A celebration of Ann's life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd., Ocean View, DE 19970, where friends and family can visit after 11 AM.
